One summer afternoon in the garden...

"A flower is an educated weed" -- Luther Burbank

"The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature." -- Anne Frank

All photos taken in my parent's wonderful garden. The above picture shows a part of the garden on a very rainy day last week!

WOW. An Indian Spring/Summer* is a beautiful thing! And so is your parents' garden =) What a lovely post! It sends happy vibes across cyberspace into my cold and bleak Melbourne autumn. Love the photo with the ant.

These remind me of a quote on my calendar a few days ago (April 28): A kind word is like a spring day.♥ e e cummings.

*Reminds me of those horrible Katy Perry lyrics which never fail to amuse: "You're like an Indian summer in the middle of winter (like a hard candy with a suprise center, how do I get better once I've had the best?)" ;-)

@ JAG: Yes, pretty but SO HOT!! I'm personally a winter person. But I shouldn't really complain, B'lore is still bearable, in some places like the temperatures have hit 47 deg C!!
Ouch!

@ Sharan: thankee!! :P

@ Shaon: Yes, I guess it is SO me! my absolute favourite is the white hibiscus! And you know how much trouble i went through to capture that ant, it was moving so fast! i was actually hoping for a butterfly...
