Last Sunday I went to another one of those big social gatherings at which pretty much the whole bengali community in Lusaka was present. As a bengali child, one must learn how to entertain oneself at these things for atleast 3-4 hrs! The food was great of course, which the aunties all contribute in preparing. No bengali 'party' is complete without 'Machher Jhol' (fish curry) and 'Meeshti' (Sweet) at the end!
It was held at this motel about 15kms outside of the city and they had set up a nice jumping castle and everything on which we also entertained ourselves for some time!! It really is so much, as kids we used to practically fight to get a chance on these things which would be set up at almost every kids' birthday party. Oh, the old days!!
