They wonder if Manmohan will make history after Nehru. WHAT UTTER, COMPLETE RUBBISH. Singh is not even close to being half the man Nehru was. What a country we had in those days...sigh...
(sure yeah, we had MAJOR issues then too, but wow, would you LOOK at our country right now?! And you know what he said?! HE said he won the campaign thanks to RAHUL. I MEAN, there is a LIMIT to buttering up someone.Sick, really. It makes me so ANGRY!)
The Congress has a beautiful history of grease. Read up the pre-Emergency political period, it's just too shitty for words.
Well, yeah, but AT LEAST he(Manmohan Singh) is educated, and acts decently in public.
Besides people like Shashi Tharoor have been elected, which gives some relief.
Well, if not the UPA, then who, right? They at least have reasonable people, unlike NDA.
yeah, i agree with Sonu. manmohan singh may not be nehru but he's highly educated and a decent man and basically a nice guy so we ought to give him a chance!
actually, i'm pretty happy with the results. we need fewer parties involved in the cabinet so i'm glad that one single party got the majority. it's easier for the govt. to get things done without so much opposition just for the sake of opposition...
i am hopeful! :D
I too agree with Tina and Sonu. Manmohan Singh IS a decent man and I'm happy with the results.

Tina, i think you're so right! enough can never be said about Manmohan Singh. he is truly awe-inspiring. also, i don't think the "Rahul Gandhi effect" in the victory can/should be understated, and i think we should be proud that the voters reacted so positively to a young, humble and incredibly honest politician. i would 100times choose RG to have such a huge impact on the outcome versus say a...hmm, Narendra Modi?!. also let's hope the newer, shinier, younger MP's can give the white-haired oldies a run for their money. i too am hopeful :)
