Inspire Me

Countdowning:
~ 10 days of classes left
~ 13 days till the exams start
~ 26 days till I go home
~ 0 days till Tashu's Birthday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TASHU!
She doesn't read my blog anyways so I'm not gonna do anything big but just so you know, Tashu is one of my first and one of my best friends from Hebron (She is also one of the most beautiful girls I know - Mallu curls!). We grew up together - from immature teenagers to umm... well, whatever we are now! :D I love that girl.

In other news:

--Its getting hot in Bombay again.

--God answers prayers and when you realise He is with you, unconditionally, always by your side, you feel like skipping. I felt like skipping at Grant Road Station this morning at 8am. I am not a morning person, and travelling by local train everyday grates on me and I felt like SKIPPING. God remains. Go wherever you want but you will return and when you return, God remains.
This is Home
Now I'm finally
Where I belong
(Switchfoot, thank you for always having the words!)

--We (Jo and I) discovered a new place to eat in Bandra for delicious "Frankies" - Its like a tradition; after our work at Little Angels (the special school we're volunteering at) on Wednesdays and Fridays, we gallavant on the streets of Bandra till we discover a nice (and reasonable) place to eat. Here's a list of some of the places we've been to:
  • Just Around the Corner: Sandwiches, Burgers, Pastas, Salads, etc. Nice Hollywood decor. Their tables have posters of classic movies like "Gone With The Wind" and "Casablanca"
  • Candies: Mostly same as above. Perpetually crowded but good food.
  • American Express: Most amazing Quiche and Salami Sandwich and great desserts too. Its a tiny little place with just one bench to sit.
  • Biona: Under renovation at the moment, so not a lot of place to sit here either, but they have decent food. Don't eat the Shawarma if you're used to the real thing though - its far from the real thing!
  • The Frankie Stall: just opposite Levis or Wrangler jeans (?) well one of them with the huge (and unappealing, atleast to me) poster of Akshay Kumar: Yummy Frankies. We had a chicken tikka Frankie today for 40 bucks.

Happy Sevens

Life sucks sometimes. Imagine this... teenage girl, hormones running wild, boy problems a-plenty, A'level exams, horrible timetables, homesickness, searching for God... Everyday is not exactly a peach and days like those what you really need is perspective like, "chill out, its not like you're stuck in the amazons with a bunch of crocodiles or something!" Okay, so maybe that's not such a great example but you get what I mean. You need perspective...
or... a pot of hot, spicy Korean noodles...
or... chocolates that smell of moth balls!or... just a shoulder to cry on...people to vent to... share a cheese dosa at Nahars Garden restaurant with...... pray with ...hairbrush sing with!
Don't you know that there,
Ain't no mountain high enough,
Ain't no valley low enough,
Ain't no river wide enough,
To keep me from getting to you babe!
For all that and more...
To my favourite girls from Hebron: Tashu, Niru, Alva, Grace, Sushi and Meg...

HAPPY DESI DAY!!
